A Guide for the Inflection Point

Scale smart. Stay healthy. Have fun.

What got your church to where it stands right now will not get it to where it's going. Framework helps growing churches navigate the seasons where old systems stop working — with a clear process instead of guesswork.

Growth doesn't stall at random. It stalls at two predictable ceilings — and each one is a fork in the road.

  • Keep the old systems, and the church plateaus
  • Rebuild them, and it breaks through

Things are working well, until they aren't.

Staff get tired. Systems that used to run smoothly start to sputter. A season that should be exciting starts to drain the joy and increase the frustration instead. Every growing church goes through seasons like this — the ones that navigate them well are the ones that thrive.

Where Clarity Is Needed

Seven areas define whether a church scales — or stalls.

At each inflection point, the paradigms and systems that worked at the last size need to change. Framework helps leadership build clarity across seven interconnected disciplines.

01

Leadership Development

Building a bench of leaders who can carry the mission beyond the founding team.

02

Staff Structure & Mentality

Evolving how staff is organized, and how it thinks about its role as the church grows.

03

Ministry Pathway

A clear, repeatable path from first-time guest to fully engaged leader.

04

Generosity

Developing a healthy, sustainable culture and system of giving.

05

Operational Systems

Building the administrative and operational backbone that scale requires.

06

Communications

Aligning internal and external messaging so growth doesn't create confusion.

07

Space

Ensuring facilities are positioned to fuel ministry rather than cap it.

The Result

Prepared to double.

Churches designed for their future — staffing, leadership, generosity, and space that fuel ministry rather than limit it.

The Framework Process

A five-step path from clarity to implementation.

Every Season of Scale engagement and Preferred Future Workshop runs on the same repeatable sequence.

Step01

Define Current Reality

An honest, data-informed assessment of where the church stands across the seven focus areas.

Step02

Clarify Preferred Future

Building a clear, shared picture of what the church is working toward.

Step03

Identify Strategic Planks

Naming the specific initiatives that will close the gap between current reality and the preferred future.

Step04

Create the Plan

Sequencing the strategic planks into a concrete, resourced plan.

Step05

Focus on Implementation

Walking alongside the church's leadership as the plan is executed, adjusting as needed.

Services

A Customized Process Built for You.

Positioning

The guide, not the hero, in your church's growth story.

Leaders can go heavy and slow or light and fast, but during these key seasons it's heavy and fast — and that's not sustainable. We can help you continue to grow your impact in a way that doesn't burn your staff out and makes ministry fun again.

"The hardest season of ministry is the one you haven't experienced yet — Framework can guide you through it with wisdom."

About Glen

Glen is a pastor and strategist who has served on boards, consulted for organizations including Ministry Solutions, Leadership Network, Irresistible Church Network, and LeadWell, and spent over 25 years as a pastor at Chase Oaks Church. Along the way, he's learned the path through the key seasons where a church can stall and lose its way — and how to find the way back through.

Glen has served in Leadership Development, Campus Pastor, Operations, and Executive Pastor roles, and has been part of churches of 80 and churches of 8,000. His heart is for the church — he believes it's the hope of the world — and for seeing it flourish.

Glen and his wife Julie have been married 33 years and have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. Outside of work, he enjoys family time, golf, cooking, books, and basketball — especially cheering on the Purdue Boilermakers.

Like a puzzle, once the frame is set, the other pieces start to make sense and fall into place.

These inflection points in the life of a church are exactly the moments not to go it alone. They're a time to have a guide walk with you — one who helps your church, your staff, and your community flourish.

We'd love to have a conversation and help you do the human side of church growth well.
